Mission Statement

Description of Organization and Mission

Domiciled in Union, NJ and conceived as a multi-service youth services organization in summer 2019, Safe Haven New Jersey is an entity that will assist Union (County) youths ages 12 to 21 years by providing immediate access to Union, NJ government and enhanced community services. 
Safe Haven New Jersey will eventually evolve into a multi – faceted service organization committed to improving quality of life for all Union NJ youths and their families by:  
* providing a safe haven for troubled or bullied youths, 
* connecting quality of life resources to family members
* enhancing study skills by providing homework groups for individual and group study 
* self-defense classes
* health and wellness resources
* provide collegiate extra-curricular activities
* yoga

Mission Statement:

Aligning with diverse groups of potential “capacity builders” will be the key to Safe Haven New Jersey’s potential success. By collaborating with community stakeholders, neighborhood residents, community faith-based organizations, community development corporations, community business and Social Services, Safe Haven New Jersey will lay the groundwork to provide Union, NJ youths with the resources to start (or finish) reconciling their problems with viable, helpful solutions. 
Thus, Safe Haven New Jersey’s Mission Pronouncement: “Stronger together... because we nurture our communities’ last, great natural resource: Children, youths and young adults.” 
With that said,  improved sustainability is the next apex to achieve on the ladder of organizational success and the longevity of Safe Haven New Jersey will be dependent upon the commitment from  its members and the custodial responsibilities of its board members and staff.
